Ms. Weir grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she attended Loyola University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.  She worked in advertising & marketing on both the client and advertising agency side before moving to Dallas, Texas to continue her marketing career.  She left the marketing field to raise her 3 children while working at diverse jobs.

Ms. Weir was in the inaugural December 2013 graduating class of Texas A & M School of Law, formerly known as Texas Wesleyan School of Law.  During law school, she received a 2012 Public Interest Law Fellowship and the Dwight H. Moore 2013 Special Recognition Award for volunteer work with Texas Lawyers for Texas Veterans.

Ms. Weir practices primarily in the areas of Social Security disability, probate, estate planning, and small business law.
